What has been predicted for a long time is coming true: the automotive industry (and commercial transport) is heading straight for a fully electric future. The list of expected electric cars is so long that we could use the top 30 of the most expected models there is something new in the coming years.

As has been the custom since we started this exercise, we have separated the car into three main categories: Cars and sports cars, utility vehicles and electric vehicles.

For this third and final chapter, we take a (too) short tour of electric cars, because the electrification is about to explode in the next year or two.

Acura ZDX

The Honda manufacturer, followed by its luxury division Acura, admitted earlier this year. Both brands are behind in their electrification plan.

But everything shows that drastic measures have already been taken to speed up the electronic transition of the two products. So much so in fact that the first two electric vehicles sold in North America will be based on GM’s Ultium platform. In addition to the Honda Prelude, Acura will bring back the name used a few years ago: the ZDX. Since it’s based on the Ultium platform, expect better power ratings and ranges similar to those of GM’s new electric vehicles.
