Toyota, Lexus and BMW are the most trusted brands in the United States


Sedans were considered the most reliable, ahead of hatchbacks and SUVs, according to an agency survey linked to American consumers.

Toyota, Lexus and BMW are the three brands rated as the most reliable by car reliability ratings compiled by Consumer Reports (CR)entity connected to consumers in the United States since the 1930s.

To conduct the survey, CR asks respondents about the problems they had with their cars in the past 12 months. This year, the survey collected data on more than 300,000 vehicles produced between 2000 and 2022, covering 17 topics such as engines, transmissions, electronics, among others.

The study showed that Asian automakers lead in reliability rankings, with an average score of 59 on a scale of 0-100.

European automakers are second at 51, with American-based brands trailing behind with an average score of 40.

Divided into categories, sedans, hatchbacks and coupes make a group of the most reliable models in the survey with an average of 58 points. They are followed by SUVs with 51 points, then minivans with 44 points.
