The 2023 RAV4 Hybrid and RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid get a new infotainment system, configurable digital clocks and a host of Toyota Safety Sense active safety features. Production of the refreshed model for the European market will begin in the third quarter of 2022

The changes apply to all RAV4 trim levels with hybrid storage and plug-in hybrid storage.

The RAV4 2023 receives a next-generation multimedia system and a new 10.5-inch high definition (HD) screen. The standard system includes online navigation that enables accurate travel planning based on up-to-date information, including traffic, road events and availability of parking spaces. Four years of internet access included in the price of the car in the Smart Service package means that you will be able to use all the online functions of the multimedia and navigation system without the need to pair a smartphone with the car.
The MyT mobile app gives you access to various information about your vehicle, such as driving analytics, fuel levels, various warnings and vehicle location.

The new Hey Toyota voice agent gives you more ways to communicate with your car. It reacts to voice commands to set the air conditioner and multimedia, make calls and open or close the windows. Hey Toyota understands natural conversational sentences. For example, if the driver or passenger says “I’m cold,” the voice agent will close the windows or increase the temperature in the air conditioning settings. The navigation also recognizes road signs and can display local weather warnings and inform the driver about areas that offer fresh air.

The RAV4 2023 gives the driver access to more remote functions available through the MyT app from anywhere. The app allows you to check on your phone if the car is locked, the windows are closed and the lights are off. These features are standard on all versions of the updated RAV4.

The MyT app also allows you to lock and unlock the doors remotely – a useful function if someone needs access to the car without a key, for example to remove something from it or to clean the interior. You can also turn on the hazard lights, to make it easier to find the car in a large parking lot, and turn on the air conditioner remotely to heat or cool the cabin before starting. These functions are new standards on higher trim levels.

The RAV4 2023 receives digital clocks displayed on a large 12.3-inch TFT screen, allowing the driver to quickly view and read important vehicle data without distraction while driving. Digital clocks on the instrument panel make it possible to customize settings. There are four styles to choose from – Normal, Smart, Sport and Tough, three settings and other setting options, allowing the driver to choose the most important information provided by the digital speedometer and tachometer. For example, you can include advanced driving data, audio track information and intelligent cruise control information.

A 12.3-inch screen is standard equipment on all but the base versions.Used, cars equipped with a manual transmission have a 7-inch display on the instrument panel.

The 2023 RAV4 gets an expanded and improved set of Toyota Safety Sense active safety systems. The Pre-Collision Warning System (PCS) has an Intersection Collision Avoidance System to enable safe turning at intersections. The system recognizes the risk of colliding with an oncoming vehicle when turning and warns of pedestrians crossing the road where the vehicle is turning. In such situations, TSS will activate a warning signal and, if necessary, brake the vehicle automatically to help avoid a collision.

The new collision force steering feature helps the driver avoid a collision with a pedestrian who has crossed the road, while controlling the vehicle as much as possible within its lane limits. In the RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid, the system will also detect and react to parked bikes and cars. PCS in the RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid also gets the ability to detect vehicles coming into the car’s lane and reduce the risk of a frontal collision.

The new Platinum White Pearl color is available on the RAV4 Hybrid and RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid exterior color, available on all trim levels except ADVENTURE. For the Selection version, you will be able to choose a two-tone Platinum White Pearl paint finish and an Attitude Black roof.

The fifth generation Toyota RAV4 debuted in 2019. The car was built on the GA-K platform in the TNGA architecture and received a new Hybrid Dynamic Force drive with a 2.5-liter engine, which in the FWD version has 218 hp, and with the intelligence of AWD-i all-wheel drive, growing. 222 hp.

The RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid is the most powerful version in the RAV4 lineup. Its hybrid drive with a more powerful electric motor and a larger battery produces 306 HP of power. Combined fuel consumption according to WLTP is from 1.0 l / 100 km and CO2 emissions from 22 g / km. The RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid achieves top-notch performance in terms of power and efficiency.

Production of the Toyota RAV4 2023 will begin in the third quarter of 2022.
