Two young people lost their lives and one more woman was seriously injured after suffering a tragic accident registered in the municipality of Compostela.
The events arose during the early hours of this Sunday in the town of Las Varas, where, according to witnesses, the driver of a gray Acura brand van, who was traveling in the company of two young women, was driving at an immoderate speed on the road. Revolución Avenue and upon reaching Colima Street, he lost control of his unit and crashed into the tub-like box of a parked trailer.
After the brutal impact, the driver and a young woman who was traveling in the passenger seat were trapped between the twisted irons.
Civil Protection paramedics from the municipality of Compostela arrived at the place, who unfortunately could do nothing to save the lives of the young people, however, the woman who was traveling in the back seats, identified as Maria Doloreswas transferred to a hospital in the municipality to receive medical attention.
The deceased were identified as Nestor Fabian Santoyo Rodriguez29 years old and Natalia Margarita Trejo Rodriguez22 years old.
The area was cordoned off by elements of the State Police, awaiting personnel from the Expert Services for the removal of evidence and the demarcation of responsibilities.
