The Imola entry list confirms the presence of two drivers

The entry list for the 6 Hours of Imola (April 19-21), the second round of the FIA World Endurance Championship, has been revealed.

This 37-car roster has only one change from last month’s season opener in Qatar. The No. 2 Cadillac will field the only two drivers for this meeting in Emilia-Romagna, with Briton Alex Lynn and New Zealander Earl Bamber confirmed at the wheel of the Cadillac V-Series R Hypercar.
“Imola was my first ever European race,” explains Bamber. “It was 2008 and I won. I have good memories of Imola because it was the first time I raced on the European circuit and the victory made me even happier.”

The New Zealander, who previously raced in Formula BMW Asia, Formula V6 Asia and the Toyota Racing Series, among others, joined ADM Motorsport for two rounds of the international Formula Master series (aka Formula Super 2000) in September 2008 in Imola. Driving a special Formula 2000 race, Bamber finished seventh in the first race and won the second. “It was an eye-opening experience, a great weekend at Imola,” added the driver. “I can’t wait to get back out there with Cadillac Racing and fight for another win.”

Cadillac will be keen to do well at Imola after the team failed to qualify in the first round in Qatar recently. The American team had finished in the Top 4 at the Emirates, before a post-race technical inspection last week revealed that the team’s rear suspensions were not up to weight.
