Two men arrested in separate homicides, D.C. police say

D.C. police have apprehended two men in connection with separate homicides, officials announced.

The department said the suspects had been arrested for allegedly committing homicides that occurred in separate incidents. Both men were taken into custody and charged with the associated crimes.

One of the suspects, a 28-year-old man, was apprehended in relation to a homicide that took place in April of this year. According to police, the man had been identified as the suspect in the murder of a 27-year-old male victim.

The other suspect, a 30-year-old man, was arrested in connection with a homicide that occurred earlier this month. The victim, a 23-year-old male, had been fatally shot in an altercation.

The department said that the suspects had been charged with first-degree homicide, a felony punishable by up to life in prison.

“We are committed to holding those who commit such heinous acts accountable,” a police spokesperson declared. “We are constantly striving to ensure the safety and security of our community and will continue to do everything we can to bring those responsible for committing these crimes to justice.”
