Two people were injured after a traffic accident in Dekkershoek

The Hague 26.05.2023 – The Loosduinen fire brigade was called to two vehicles on Friday afternoon to an accident in Margaretha van Hennebergweg at the road junction with Dekkershoek.

A couple in a gray Peugeot drove around 2.40 pm on Margaretha van Hennebergweg towards Escamplaan and wanted to turn left towards Dekkershoek.

According to witnesses, the elderly driver of the gray Volkswagen behind the Peugeot thought he could still pass it, but the over maneuver turned out to be a miscalculation. The driver of a black Buick Enclave from the other side could no longer avoid the collision and pushed the Volkswagen back a few meters.

Both the Peugeot on one side and the Opel parked on the other side were hit. Firefighters removed two elderly women involved in the accident who were injured from their vehicles. Volkswagen and Buick were separated by a diffuser. They were treated in an ambulance and taken to the hospital. The driver of the Peugeot suffered minor injuries. Police partially surrounded Margaretha van Hennebergweg from Escamplaan for further investigation.
