UOKiK: 285 copies of DS 7 Crossback for service

Entrepreneur Stellantis Polska Sp. z o. o., based in Warsaw, informed the President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection that DS7 Crossback vehicles with a high-voltage battery may be exposed to the risk of perforation of the battery reinforcement plate during vehicle operation due to ingress of water. This can damage the battery cover and cause a battery fire.

On the Polish market, the repair campaign covers 285 vehicles.

The entrepreneur informed the owners of the affected vehicles about the need to contact authorized services to make drainage holes in the bracket (if not already there) and to apply an anti-corrosion agent.

The Office of Competition and Consumer Protection is not able to provide detailed information to consumers about campaigns advertised and run by entrepreneurs.

This information includes the implementation of the duties of the entrepreneur, according to the role played in the business, mentioned in Art. Section 14 2, art. Section 17 2 or art. 19 part 3 of Regulation (EU) 2018/858 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 30 May 2018 on the approval and market surveillance of vehicles and their trailers, and systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles, amending the Regulation (EC) No. 715 /2007 and (EC) No. 595/2009 and repealing Directive 2007/46/EC (OJ EU L 151 of 14/06/2018, p. 1).
