Expelled from her native Ukraine due to the ongoing political disputes, the precocious tennis talent, Anna Zemlyanukhina, has discovered her footing on the court in the Granite State.
In 2014, Anna and her family were uprooted from their home in Kiev and were compelled to seek refuge in New Hampshire. Despite the upheaval, the young athlete has flourished in the U.S., developing her craft and establishing a formidable presence on the tennis court.
Anna has demonstrated her prodigious skill in the junior circuit, amassing an impressive record of 23-4 and garnering a spot in the Top 50 of the International Tennis Federation (ITF) Girls 18 rankings. An aggressive player with a powerful forehand, she has consistently proven her mettle against formidable opponents.
With the assistance of her coach, Igor Kuzmin, Anna has honed her technique, allowing her to compete with confidence in the East Coast region. Having performed impressively in the 2018 ITF Grade 1 tournament in New Haven, Connecticut, she is poised to ascend the rankings and become a permanent fixture in the Top 100.
The talented athlete is also a diligent student, displaying an aptitude for academics that has won her accolades in the classroom. She currently attends the prestigious Phillips Exeter Academy, where she has earned an academic scholarship, and hopes to continue her education at a top college in the near future.
The Zemlyanukhina family have embraced the New England culture, and have found solace in the supportive atmosphere of their new home. With her skill and ambition, Anna has made the most of her new environment and has proven her potential on the court. As she continues to ascend the ranks, Anna is sure to make the Granite State proud.
