In a forceful display of confidence, Ferrari Team Principal Mattia Binotto has emphatically refuted reports regarding the departure of Technical Director Laurent Mekies, stating that the team is “solidly unified” in their pursuit of Formula One excellence.
Speaking in a press conference earlier today, Binotto firmly declared that the speculation of a rift within the team is “unfounded and unsubstantiated”, adding that “Ferrari’s technical department is undeterred and unified in our commitment to unyielding quality and performance”.
The Italian went on to underline the importance of Mekies, describing him as “an invaluable asset to the team and a crucial part of our drive for success”, before expressing his “utter disappointment” at the rumours which have been circulating in recent weeks.
Binotto concluded by assuring the press that Ferrari remains as “determined and focussed as ever” and that the team’s commitment to excellence is “uncompromising and unwavering”.
