Vauxhall Grandland (2023). Price, range and equipment of a compact SUV

Apart from the recent sports version “GSE”, all Grandland prices are revised upwards in May 2023. The prices of this technical cousin of the Peugeot 3008 rise from 800 to 950 € depending on the type of engine chosen. The range now starts at €34,100.

Since the restyling, the Opel Grandland X has become the Grandland. It sees all its prices increase in May 2023, except for the GSe version.

On the French market, the Grandland lives in the shadow of its technical cousin, the second 3008 of that name. The launch of its modified version in January 2022, which was accompanied by a simplified name, has not changed this situation. But this small SUV is an important model for Opel. Since the disappearance of the Insignia, it has been even “on the range” of the manufacturer, excluding utility derivatives. A situation that connects more this month of May 2023, since its prices have been updated upwards. For warm versions of Grandland, the price inflation has already reached 800 €. The cheapest of them, powered by a three-cylinder 1.2 Turbo 130 hp linked to a manual gearbox, therefore starts at €34,100. The amount that will be required to increase the ecological penalty of between 400 and 650 €. This tax is higher by choosing the automatic transmission, €1,900 more expensive, or by choosing the four-cylinder 1.5 diesel, with this eight-speed manual transmission as standard.

€950 extra for the 225 hp hybrid

The 225hp two-wheel-drive version remains the most affordable hybrid proposition, but it does increase over the rest of the range.

Opel Automobile GmbH

The only way to avoid the wrath of the French government is to turn to one of the two plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV). However, it is more expensive, especially as the price of the 225 hp two-wheel drive version increases by €950. Still powered by a 180 hp 1.6 turbo along with a 110 hp electric motor, this variant now starts at €47,650. Recently seen in the 3008 as in the Citroen C5 Aircross, another cousin of the Grandland, the 180 hp 1.6 hybrid is not available here. Only Astra can have it in Eclair brand. On the other hand, the SUV is the only Opel model that can benefit from 300 hp and four-wheel drive. This is the menu offered by the recently revived sports label GSe, for €59,700. Heart rate, but that is the only one that has not changed in May.
