Vauxhall was the top-selling electric light vehicle (e-LCV) brand in the UK in 2022. For the second year in a row, the brand was ranked number one, according to the latest sales and registration figures published today by the Association of Manufacturers and Motor Traders (SMMT).

Last year, Vauxhall sold 5,038 electric light commercial vehicles, an increase of 73% compared to 2021. Vauxhall remains one of the few manufacturers in the country to offer fleets and buyers a fully electric vehicle in its model range. Vauxhall’s e-LCV range includes the Combo Electric (Sombo-e), Vivaro Electric (Vivaro-e) and Movano Electric (Movano-e).

The sales success was supported by multiple awards for Vivaro Electric, which topped the UK e-LCV sales chart for the second year running. In 2022, Vauxhall sold 4,212 Vivaro Electric vehicles to business and private customers.

James Taylor, CEO of Vauxhall, said: “Sales of electric vehicles increased significantly in 2022 and will continue to grow in the coming years as more companies and fleets try to reduce emissions and operating costs. As you can see, we are well prepared for that wide and quality offer of fully electric cars, for the second year in a row a higher percentage of companies and private buyers have chosen a Vauxhall electric car.“.

Vivaro Electric has a long list of awards, including the “Medium Van of the Year” award in a plebiscite. What van? 2022 awards and “Best Medium Electric Van” in the competition Electric Power Awards 2022. Vivaro Electric was also selected “International Car of the Year 2021” and received many other high awards.

Available with a battery capacity of 50 kWh or 75 kWh, the Vivaro Electric has a WLTP range of up to 205 miles (402 km) per charge and has a maximum payload of up to 1,226 kg.

Vauxhall is Opel’s sister brand in the UK. In Poland, these cars are sold under the brand name Opel.
