Fernando Alonso remains loyal to F1: That’s what the opponents say / Formula 1

Formula 1 veteran Fernando Alonso has extended his driving contract with the Aston Martin team for several years despite his age. For this, the two-time world champion gets a lot of respect from his opponents.

At 42, Fernando Alonso is the oldest driver in the current GP field and will remain so until at least the end of 2026. The Spaniard has extended his contract with the Aston Martin team by several years. Opponents are impressed, as shown at a press conference in Shanghai.

When asked that question, Lando Norris explained in a press conference in Shanghai: “It takes a lot of dedication, and I think no one doubts that Fernando doesn’t have that.” He shows this in everything he does – whether on or off the track. It depends on what the driver wants to do, everyone is different.”

“It’s not often someone stays at the top of the game for that long – he’s certainly one of the few athletes who’s still at the top. The fact that he can keep doing this is amazing. But I don’t know if I’ll be able to do this for that long. But I like what I’m doing now and I don’t want to stop now,” added the McLaren star.

Charles Leclerc admitted: “I find it difficult to imagine that I will still be in Formula 1 in 15 or 18 years. But of course you can see how motivated Fernando is and the level he is racing at.” In the end it all depends on the age itself being just a number and what he shows in the song is still top notch.

“I would like to continue racing for many more years, but maybe not only in Formula 1. Le Mans is definitely a race that I want to participate in at some point. As much as I am motivated, I will definitely continue to ride and I love what I do. For now that is what I want to do for as long as possible, ” added the Ferrari driver.
