a Vietnamese car manufacturer VinFast Auto has officially signed the seller’s sales contract with Bahwan Automobiles Trading LLC (BAT) for the distribution of electric vehicles in the Omani market.

This event not only marks VinFast’s first operation in the Middle East region but also an important step in VinFast’s international expansion, VinFast said in a statement on Wednesday.

Under the terms of the agreement, BAT will be VinFast’s official distributor in Oman.

From 2024 to 2027, BAT plans to establish and operate 13 VinFast stores and service centers.

The inaugural store is expected to open in mid-2024, and vehicle sales will begin shortly thereafter.

Additionally, VinFast will partner with BAT to sell four e-sports utility vehicles (SUVs): VF 6, VF 7, VF 8, and VF 9 upon market launch.

Previously, within the framework of the United Nations Conference on Climate Change 2023 (COP 28) held in the United Arab Emirates, VinFast and BAT signed an Agreement
Collaborative Understanding.

Through this partnership with its first dealer in Oman, VinFast is actively contributing to the implementation of green mobility solutions within the Middle East region, while confirming the commitment of the Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer to make electric vehicles more accessible to everyone. .
