Volkswagen Group: Discussions on corporate topics continue

On Friday, representatives of the Volkswagen, Audi and Skoda Commercial Vehicle dealers’ associations sat down with the manufacturer’s representatives to address the issue of the agency system again. As the chairman of the Skoda partner association Thomas Peckruhn announced when asked by AUTOHAUS, there was still no result. He did not want to comment on the contents. The conversation will continue. According to Peckruhn, it was agreed that the results will be communicated to the media as soon as they are available.

The commission of the agency and the sale of used cars under criticism

Manufacturers want to introduce agency system in Skoda, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles and Audi. Trade unions reject this. Since the negotiations have not yet led to a result that the traders can accept, a joint general meeting of the partner organizations was held on July 14, where almost 800 participants unanimously rejected the introduction of the agency system.

The main points of criticism were and are the agency commissions that are too low and plans to sell used cars through Volkswagen Financial Services in the future. A new round of talks on these issues has now begun. Seat’s dealer advisory board has not been invited to the negotiations because the agency contract has already been concluded with Seat/Cupra.
