The successor to the Bugatti Chiron has fewer eight cylinders

Bugatti has confirmed that the successor to the Chiron will be launched next year. Will he put the 8.0-liter W16 with four turbos? To ask a question is to answer it, because no… the old motorcycle is not coming back.

“The car is ready,” Bugatti’s Achim Anscheidt told Autocar recently. “We handed over a prototype to our tool shop a few months ago and we expect the necessary production tools in a few months.”

The next Bugatti model will be on a completely new chassis and will be shorter than even the Mistral. The roadster version of the Chiron has been built in a limited edition of ninety-nine units to commemorate the passing of the W16.

Because Bugatti also has to think about the polar bear. And so the Chiron’s successor will have a V8 with hybrid support. Note: Bugatti will equip the car with a large central information system.

Until recently, the brand did not want to do this, because the idea was that a multimedia screen would make the car obsolete. For example, just drive a ten-year-old BMW 5-Series. Developments in display and software are moving so fast that such a car feels outdated.

Starting price more than 5 million

A Chiron it cost over 2.5 million euros in the Netherlands, excluding taxes. Its successor will be more expensive, and the price is reported to be more than 5 million euros.

Bugatti was once owned by the Volkswagen Group, but is now merged into the Bugatti Rimac joint venture, which is owned by Rimac (55 percent of the shares) and Porsche (45 percent).

There have been several special editions of the Bugatti Chiron, including the Sport, Super Sport 300+ and Pur Sport. Models are also designed with the Chiron in mind, such as the Divo, Centodieci, Mistral and La Voiture Noire (which is NOT from Christiano Ronaldo, whatever the internet says).
