(ABM FN-Dow Jones)Â TomTom and Mitsubishi Electric will collaborate on technology to make self-driving cars possible. The Amsterdam-based navigation specialist announced this on Monday, without sharing financial details.
TomTom’s High Definition Maps will be combined with Mitsubishi Electric’s High-Definition Locator to provide car manufacturers with an accurate and integrated solution for the new generation of vehicles.
The partnership will provide the companies with hardware solutions that provide the accurate navigation data needed for automated driving, according to TomTom.
