Dacia will sell LPG cars until the end and develop this car: “We intend to produce them until we can no longer sell combustion engines in Europe” | French.pl

Dacia firmly declares that it will produce LPG-connected combustion engines for as long as possible. It does not intend to stop at the current models. New drives are also in preparation. Currently, autogas is offered in models like Duster, Jogger and Sandero. The new Duster 3rd generation will also have LPG.

Dacia makes it clear. LPG was, is and will be. It is an ecological fuel that not only allows you to move cheaper but also has 10% less carbon dioxide emissions than gasoline. Thanks to this, it reaches parameters comparable to the best 48V linear hybrids at a very low cost. And if CO2 emissions are considered in the entire life cycle, from production to final recycling, autogas even has an advantage over the first stage of electrification. By avoiding the production of an additional battery, it will reduce the carbon footprint by 15%, instead of 10% for light hybrids. At the same time, the car is more economical to use. In this area, LPG can even work in parallel with a full hybrid, which is more expensive to buy – informs the manufacturer.

“We intend to continue producing LPG until we can no longer sell combustion engines in Europe,” said Didier Michaud, brand and engine platform manager. He also announces that car units will be developed: greater power, better performance, lower fuel consumption and even lower emissions can be achieved. “LPG is the cheapest way to get around for customers. We will make these engines.”

Currently, the brand is running an ad for LPG versions at the price of petrol versions. It is also worth taking advantage of the attractive vintage sale. Autogas version it will be available to order from February in the case of the new, highly anticipated Duster III.
