Volkswagen has sworn to provide a budget-friendly electric vehicle (EV) with their ID.2all model. This model is touted as a significant advancement in the firm’s electrification strategy. The ID.2all is set to be the most affordable model in the ID. family, with a sticker price of roughly $23,000.
VW has designed the car for the mass market, aiming to make it more accessible for the average consumer. The automaker has identified the need for a more affordable EV and is aiming to fill the gap. The ID.2all is an important step in VW’s mission to provide a more accessible and cost-effective option for those looking to purchase an EV.
The ID.2all is powered by a single electric motor that produces approximately 200 horsepower while producing zero emissions. The car is equipped with a battery capacity of 45 kWh, allowing for a range of up to 310 miles. Furthermore, the ID.2all has a top speed of 124 mph and can accelerate from 0-62 mph in 6.2 seconds.
The car has a modern design and is equipped with an array of cutting-edge technology. This includes VW’s Connected Cockpit and the latest infotainment system. Additionally, the car is outfitted with a host of driver assistance systems, such as Emergency Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Lane Assist.
The ID.2all is set to enter production in late 2021 and is expected to be available for purchase in early 2022. VW is confident that the ID.2all will be a significant milestone in the firm’s mission to offer a budget-friendly, zero-emission electric vehicle to the mass market.
