After months of struggling, one electric vehicle (EV) inventor may be about to make a comeback. The Lucid Group (NASDAQ:LCID) soon revealed some important details of its highly anticipated 2024 Lucid Air Grand Touring. Known for making cool-looking luxury EVs, Lucid isn’t changing its operating model with its latest model. The 2024 edition of the popular Lucid Air aims to help customers get to their destinations faster and charge faster on the go. News of these details boosted LCID shares today, which have been trending higher since the market opened. After months worth of slow bleeding, Lucid could definitely use some good speed.

Does this mean LCID stock is finally on its way to snapping its losing streak? The company has a long road ahead of it, but this new car could be an important step in the right direction. Let’s dive into the details of the latest version of Lucid.

What’s Going On With LCID Stock

Many experts have lost faith in LCID stock over the past year. With shares down more than 40% year-to-date (YTD), it’s not hard to see why. The market for electric vehicles is still very volatile, and competition is increasing. At the same time, a list of problems faced by fellow EV startups Fisker (OTCMKTS:FSRN) continues to cast dark shadows over his colleagues.

That said, the 2024 Lucid Air Grand Touring has a lot to offer buyers. It comes with enhanced range that will not be affected by cold temperatures and fast charging of 15%-30%. For consumers looking to buy a luxury electric sedan, the latest Lucid will be attractive. CEO and CTO Peter Rawlinson he has hope on what this new EV will mean for Lucid customers:

“The Air Grand Touring is our long-range vehicle – truly the longest-range EV available today,” he notes – “And now it’s been upgraded with many powertrain upgrades, including the Air Sapphire heat pump. Air Grand The Touring has maintained its estimated range of 516 miles, achieving this despite the EPA’s most rigorous testing.More importantly, it offers improved range and efficiency in a range of everyday, real-world conditions.

All of this suggests that the 2024 Lucid Air will be the growth driver its manufacturer needs to break out of the EV race. While the EV market is becoming increasingly crowded, Lucid is still a pioneer of modernity with attractive looking vehicles. For anyone not looking for a Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) car, his cars are a logical choice.

The fact that LCID stock is responding well to these updates should be a positive sign for investors. Struggling EV stocks are still very much a speculative play. But Lucid still has more room to run than many of its penny EV peers, such as Fisker of troubled meme stocks. Mullen Cars (NASDAQ:MULN)

With the 2024 Lucid Air Grand Touring poised to perform well, investors should keep an eye on LCID stock. It’s not dead yet, and it can still come back.
