High-end brands are making money with their personalization programs. Porsche has Exclusive, McLaren has Special Operations and Maserati has had Fuoriserie for a few years now. And so you can make a bunch of bad creations!
The Dutch fleet is silver, gray, black, dark blue and maybe a little white. It is difficult for anyone to dare to order the color of happiness, because something will happen to the remaining value …
At Maserati we go wild with colors and striping
You would expect that the rich Dutch people would have less difficulty with bold colors, but no … just look at how many shades of gray used in the new Porsche 911 are sold.
Insurers won’t like this new color scheme from McLaren
And it’s not as if expensive brands don’t offer their customers every option. For Maserati, for example, you can go all out with color, beaten with interior accessories.
The paint color to the sample costs more than 10,000 euros
Of course that is not free. At Porsche, a unique body color, called paint-by-sample, costs more than 10,000 euros. This is partly due to the influence of different dimensions on the production process, and partly there is a large margin.
Maserati Fuoriserie-program is uitbundig
Back to Maserati. The Fuoriserie program of the Italian brand is quite lively, with available shades that would not look out of place in the new Barbie movie, for example.
For sale: Why is this Mercedes-AMG GT 63 the color of a tennis ball?
You can try it yourself, because Maserati has it The most comprehensive configurator published online. And in it you can create a color combination that hurts the eyes. We offer a number of Ghibli, Quattroporte, Levante and MC20 models.
Bright red is the same and the white strip down the middle of the body also works, but the alloy wheels in highlight color, with red brake calipers and blue exterior details go a long way.
No matter how outdated the Quattroporte is now, it remains a luxurious limousine with a pleasant sporting edge. There is no tennis ball appearance, with a central stripe in the color of the support socks.
Levante in German cab livery, with blue wheels, blue exterior details and contrasting blue and ocher yellow stripes. Well, that’s not cool and it also has green brake calipers.
It’s hard to see in this picture, but the color is blue. Why anyone would order an attractive MC20 with a light blue nose is a mystery to us.
