Volvo driver crashes on Autobahn: son saves father’s life by taking the wheel Regionally


Ingelheim – His bravery saved his father (67) and prevented a fatal accident: On the A 60 in Rhineland-Palatinate, the 28-year-old prevented an accident from the passenger seat of a Volvo XC 60.

Around 10:20 pm, a 67-year-old man fell on the construction site between the Ingelheim-Ost and West avenues on the wheel of his car and passed out. The heavy SUV continued to run out of control, running over two warning lights.

The son responded with quick understanding, grabbed the steering wheel and steered the car so skillfully into the crash barrier that it hit it and braked to a stop. Then he called 911.

A short time later, the police, rescue and fire brigade were at the scene of the accident. They pulled the lifeless 67-year-old man out of the Volvo along with the other drivers and immediately began resuscitation.

The resuscitation took about an hour but was successful – the man’s heart started beating again. He was still in critical condition in the hospital, but survived the night according to BILD news.
