The new Citroen C3 has arrived in Europe. It beats the competition with its price

A new car for less than PLN 70,000. zloty? Well, Citroën decided that not only the electric version of the C3 should be cheap. The recently announced combustion variants surprised with their price, but contrary to industry trends, the surprise is good.

Citroen first decided to show the world an electric variant. ë‑C3 was presented in October 2023, and in Poland it is available from PLN 110,650. It was supposed to be Stellantis’ answer to the price war initiated by Chinese manufacturers, as well as a model that would compete with, among others, Renault 5 or Volkswagen ID.2.

However, Stellantis does not live by electric vehicles alone. Now the Citroen C3 has seen the light of day, i.e. the iconic twin with an extra “ë”. The fourth generation of this model is now making its full debut.

There is no point in dwelling too much on the interior and exterior style – who saw the ë‑C3 version also saw the C3. And of course, we can talk about everything except what’s under the hood.

The entry level will be the familiar PureTech turbocharged unit with a capacity of 1.2 liters and 100 HP, with a 6-speed manual.. The second option is a hybrid, also providing a 100 HP driver. In this case, it is driven by the ë-DCS6 automatic double-clutch gearbox, connected to an electric motor.

However, the biggest blow from Citroën is undoubtedly the price of its new baby. According to the official press release, Citroën C3 will be available from EUR 14,990, which translates to approximately PLN 64,000. zlotys. It is futile to assume that this car will have the same price in Poland, but we will have to wait a long time for the price list.

However, even if the new C3 will be available for a little less than PLN 70,000. PLN, it will be a very good result. After all, we are talking about a brand new car that will offer interesting mechanical and technological solutions, as well as 100 HP of power. So, will it be a hit?
