Volvo’s Electric Tour 2023 starts with an appointment for the little ones

Milan, May 25 (Adnkronos) – The headquarters of Volvo Trucks Italy organized the first stage of the Electric Tour 2023, a journey on the peninsula of the Volvo FH Electric, the 100% electric version of the famous Volvo Trucks. The first of the sixteen organized stages also saw children as protagonists who, like adults, were able to see the Volvo FH Electric up close, but also learn important road safety concepts.

The morning was, in fact, dedicated to the “Stop, Look and Wave” program. “It is a road safety education program that was launched in 2015 and is mainly aimed at primary school children. It has already been developed by more than 30 countries and in Italy we have reached almost 300,000 children” explained Massimo Luksch, HR director of Volvo Trucks Italy.

Therefore, the headquarters of Volvo Trucks Italy in Zingonia was overwhelmed by the cheering voices of these children from the intensive school in Osio Sotto and from the youth team of Atalanta. Divided into four classes, the children were able to get into a Volvo FH Electric cab, face questions about road safety and enter the Volvo Trucks Italia workshop.

The goal is to raise awareness about the subject more and more. “It is a program that gives great satisfaction – concludes Luksch – Safety, quality and respect for the environment are our three values ​​and we want a world without road accidents involving Volvo cars”.
