Suchana Seth has no mental health problems: GMC report | Goa news

Panaji: Suchana Seth, a Bengaluru-based data scientist and entrepreneur who allegedly killed her four-year-old son in Candolim earlier this year, does not have a mental health problem, the Goa Medical College (GMC) has said in its report to the Goa Police.
The GMC sent the electroencephalogram (EEG) report to the Calangute police after conducting various tests. “A record of insomnia and insomnia does not indicate a generalized or generalized seizure,” said neurophysiologist Dr. Shilpa Dessai.
Earlier, the Goa juvenile court allowed a petition filed by Seth’s father, seeking directions to the Goa police to get him examined by a civil surgeon or a medical board to assess his mental health condition.
After allegedly killing his son on January 7, he hired a taxi to travel to Bengaluru, Karnataka, with the boy’s body in a bag. He was arrested before he reached his destination.
Earlier, the Calangute police had informed the juvenile court that Seth was not suffering from any stress-related illness. The Institute of Psychiatry and Human Behavior (IPHB) had told the court that he was examined by a panel of doctors, and that the questions asked him were answered in a sane manner.
In context no form of stress or stress-related illness was detected, it said.
The Goa police had filed a 642-page chargesheet against Seth in connection with the alleged murder before the juvenile court. The police recorded the statements of 59 witnesses. Seth is currently in judicial custody.
Seth had moved in with his son on January 6. Later, housekeepers found blood stains in the room and informed the police.
