VW Design Boss Says It’s More Difficult To Design A Small Car Than A Hypercar

Designing a small car is more challenging than creating a hypercar, according to Volkswagen’s design boss, Klaus Bischoff.

Speaking at an industry event, Bischoff pointed to the technical difficulties associated with designing a small car, noting that the process is “more complex and difficult” than creating a hypercar.

“When you design a small car, you have all kinds of restrictions that you don’t have with a hypercar,” Bischoff said. “The dimensions are much tighter, and you have to take into consideration things like the engine, suspension, and aerodynamics to make sure that the car is safe and comfortable.”

He added that the design process for a small car requires a greater degree of technical expertise, due to the need to ensure the car functions properly and meets safety regulations.

“It takes a lot of technical knowledge to ensure that all of the components are integrated correctly and that the car is safe and comfortable,” he said. “It’s a much more involved process than designing a hypercar.”

Bischoff also emphasized the importance of design in creating a successful small car, noting that the vehicle must be eye-catching in order to appeal to consumers.

“Even though the design process is more difficult, it’s still important to create a car that’s visually attractive,” he said. “It needs to look good and be something that people want to buy.”
