For the Paris Motor Show in mid-October 2024, Stellantis will pull out all the stops and sell the new Opel Frontera compact SUV. Taking the name of its 4×4 ancestor, Isuzu’s redesigned all-terrain vehicle of the early 1990s, this Frontera will most likely replace the Crossland, the latest avatar of the General Motors era.

In-between

Based on the recently updated e-CMP platform, the future Frontera should be somewhere in between Crossland (4.22 m) and Grandland (4.48 m). But Opel presents few technical characteristics. So we can only increase the size of this future Frontera to a length of 4.35 m. On the other hand, we already know that its trunk will be able to carry between 460 and 1,600 liters of cargo.

Electric and hybrid

We also know that the engines of this Opel Frontera will be electric or hybrid, but without mentioning the power. Logically, these will be Emotors of 136 hp and 156 hp and the latest hybrid 1.2 turbo-petrol MHEV 48 V of 100 hp and 136 hp. For now, we will just appreciate the successful design of this future SUV from the electric brand.
