The Hyundai Tucson is updated for 2024 with new features in the software inside, but also in terms of driving aids.

When Hyundai presented the fourth generation of its Tucson in September 2020, the least we can say is that it was distinguished from the previous generations which were very empty. Strange, daring, unusual … We can describe it however we want, but it is clear that four years later, it is a success, as 750,000 units were produced worldwide.

Along with Spain, England and Germany, France is one of the most important European markets for this model. In 2023, more than 158,000 Tucson units have been sold in Europe. And continue to be competitive, Hyundai offers an updated version.

New inside and out

from outside, The new Tucson can be recognized by its redesigned shields and large daytime running lights surrounding the grille.. The catalog is also enhanced with new alloy wheels and four new colors called Cypress Green Mineral Effect, Ecotronic Gray Mineral Effect, Ultimate Red Metallic and Sailing Blue Mineral Effect. Those who choose the N Line sports trim will benefit from more aggressively styled side skirts, 19-inch wheels, as well as body-colored wheel arches and rocker panels.
inside, the changes are more visible. The facelifted Tucson sports a redesigned dashboard and receives two 12.3-inch screens in the same style as the Ioniq 5. The steering wheel also changes, with Hyundai having the good idea to retain the physical controls, especially for the ventilation. A good step in terms of ergonomics. In addition to this new dual panel, the updated Tucson also has a new head-up display.
Several USB-C ports provide more connectivity, while the car can receive updates and, eventually, it will also be able to offer an on-demand service option. Digital Key 2.0 will be introduced later this year. This is a technology that allows you to turn your smartphone into a car key. You will be able to lock or unlock the car, start it or even send this digital key to someone else so they can use your car.

Full range of engines

The Tucson is also loaded with driving aids, with the arrival of side wind assist, while the rear occupant alert if a child or pet is inadvertently left in the car. We always wonder how we can leave a child or an animal without realizing it in the car, but news items have already confirmed to us that this technology is, unfortunately, of interest today.
In terms of engines, the Tucson still has its 1.6 liter turbo petrol engine. 150 ch and 180 ch. The full hybrid version retains its 230 chapterssuch as a plug-in hybrid with its own 265 chapters. Diesel also returns to the lineup, with a unit featuring a 1.6-liter CRDi hybrid 136 chapters. A new PHEV version, but only in front-wheel drive, will arrive this year and will undercut the price of the plug-in hybrid.
The new Hyundai will arrive in dealerships “late spring”, that is to say probably in the coming weeks.

Prices have not yet been announced, but they shouldn’t be too far from the base 26,000 euros claimed for the hot versions and 42,250 euros for the PHEV version and 36,000 euros for the full hybrid Tucson.
