This is one of the advantages of the Stellantis group, and if in France in 2023 Fiat achieved only 40,336 sales of passenger cars, which corresponds to a market share of 2.3%, the Fiat brand is the best seller of the Stellantis group worldwide.

In the past year, the Italian brand sold 1,350,000 vehicles worldwide (PC + LCV + Abarth), which puts it ahead of Peugeot which with 1,124,268 vehicles occupies the second place in the group and which has seen its sales increase by 6% in 2023. Fiat’s growth was 12%. If in Italy on its national market, the brand is ranked as the leader with 12.8% of the market share thanks mainly to the Fiat Panda, it does better elsewhere with 78.6% of the Algerian market, 21.8% of the Brazilian market and 15.7% of the market. Limited catalog in France

Outside its borders, the Italian manufacturer offers special models to suit public taste. This is the case with three-volume sedans (Argo, Cronos, Egea, Linea) that take different names depending on the market visited, but also with some unique models such as the Fiat Strada, a two- and two-room pickup. which is sold in South America. In France, in the list of manufacturers we find, along with utility vehicles, a reduced offer for a few cars including the third generation Fiat Panda which has been on the market since 2011, the Fiat 500 Hybrid which has been around since 2007. sedan and convertible, soon has been available in the limited series “1957” issued in units of 1957. In France, Fiat prefers its latest cars such as the small electric Fiat Topolino, the cleverly revised cousin of the Citroën Ami with an Italian twist, the Fiat 500e which arrived on the market in 2020 and is available in sedan, convertible and 3+ sedan 1 , the new urban crossover Fiat 600 which is available in electric, but also in hybrid.

Current projects

Today in France the Fiat range is more than limited, but it should expand soon with the arrival of the new Fiat Panda in July 2024 and future projects that will take the technical basis of the “Smart Car”. At the same time, Fiat is updating the Fiat Panda by naming it Fiat Pandina, this car will be launched in the summer when the new Panda will be presented. Realizing that the transition to all electricity before the year 2035 is not as beneficial as in terms of sales, the manufacturer no longer holds back from offering a hot engine in the Fiat 500e.
