The proud heir of Chiron

Recently, Bugatti experts have been busy with the development of the Bolide, while continuing to gradually release the famous Chiron, with its new and highly specialized versions, usually based on unique aesthetic characteristics. That said, the Bolide didn’t have to suffer from this allocation of resources, because the Molsheim engineers managed to make it accessible and formidable on the circuit. Of course, the word “available” avoids financial questions, given that the price of this unique machine is in the millions of euros.

Unexpectedly high speed

Bolide sets itself apart with its impressive performance. With a maximum speed of 380 km / h in the lowest configuration, the hypercar reaches a level that even F1 has not reached, its record is 373 km / h. Andy Wallace, official Bugatti driver and three-time winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, is full of praise for himself. According to him, the feeling experienced when exiting a corner when you let all the power of this machine explode is an unparalleled experience. In addition, the Bolide is very responsive, it reaches 300 km / h in just a few seconds after leaving the corner at 100 km / h.

Start of production

Rest assured, speed racing is not the only end for the Bugatti Bolide. Engineers also looked at aerodynamics, braking, traction, and cornering. And they set the bar very high. Thanks to its aerodynamic profile, the Bolide can produce up to 3 tons less with its 8-liter W16 of 1,600 hp. Additionally, its width, low center of gravity and high performance tires contribute to exceptional grip with up to 2.5 g of lateral force. Brembo carbon-carbon brakes are among the largest brakes ever designed.

Production of the Bugatti Bolide has just begun. However, don’t expect to see many of them. Production will be limited to 40 copies initially. Once the first units are released, the first deliveries are expected in the coming months.
