Cupra Born VZ is an electric hatch. Power 326 HP and rear drive

The first fully electric model of the Spanish brand has a new, more powerful version. Due to the changes introduced in the drive system technology, the Cupra Born VZ has a power of 240 kW (326 HP) and offers 545 Nm of maximum torque. The hot hatchback reaches a speed of 100 km / h in 5.7 seconds (one second faster than the previous version of the Cupra Born). The maximum speed of the car has also increased to 200 km / h (which is equal to 40 km / h more). The car has rear wheel drive. We write more about new cars on Gazeta.pl.

Veloz means fast

The designers of the latest version of the Birth model used the VZ symbol in the name for a reason. It is an abbreviation of the word veloz, which in Spanish means “quick”. The car’s dynamics have also been tuned for performance, thanks to improved DCC sports suspension geometry, responsive steering and improved brake pressure sensitivity. The suspension is also stiff compared to the standard versions of the Birth model.

Distance 570 km

When driving, the driver can choose between three different levels of energy recovery. The manufacturer also informs that the Cupra Born VZ can travel up to 570 kilometers on a single charge. The battery provides 79 kWh of net capacity (+2 kWh). It can be charged at home using an 11 kW AC system or at a 170 kW DC fast charging station. In the case of the second option, to charge the VZ Born to 80 percent. It will take 30 minutes.

Bucket seats and 20 inch rims

Changes can also be seen in the interior of the car. CUP bucket seats with restored upholstery appeared in the cabin, fitted as standard in the VZ version. The Formentor VZ5 and Leon VZ Cup models also receive such seats. New technological solutions include a new 12.9-inch touchscreen media system (0.9″ larger) and an optional 10-speaker audio system with a power of 425 watts, developed in collaboration with Senheiser.

As for the exterior, there are two new 20-inch aluminum rim designs to choose from and two new body colors – Black Forest and Midnight Black. Cupra Born VZ will appear on the market in the third quarter of 2024. The manufacturer currently does not provide information on the availability of the car in Poland.
