Why Abarth is demolishing five Alfas with their new model

In 2021, Abarth showed the 1000 SP, a sports car based on the Alfa Romeo 4C. Five examples were reportedly built. Now there is a sequel to this, the Abarth 1300 OT.

Abarth has been around for seventy-five years and that should be celebrated, they think at Abarth Classiche, so the Alfa Romeo 4C is being brought back from the fold. Because to create this 1300 OT – more or less a coupe version of the 1000 SP – Abarth will soon get rid of five used 4Cs with low mileage.

It is not known how much the cars will cost, but there is a floating amount of more than 200,000 euros. The original 1300 OT was a Group 4 racing car, which won the 500 kilometers of the Nürburgring in 1966 and took class wins at Hockenheim, Monza and Mugello, among others.

The drive was powered by a 1.28-liter four-cylinder with 147 hp; Alfa Romeo 4C on the other hand, it has a 240 hp 1,750 cc engine. So those five who order a 1300 OT will definitely get more power – although they pay a lot for it.
