The Acura RDX will have a younger sibling called the ADX and will cost less


Many users have been asking this for a long time. The same thing for dealers of that brand. A small SUV will join the lineup soonAcuraunder its best seller in Canada that is RDXa question to answer BMW X1, Audi Q3 and Volvo XC40 of this world.

Honda’s vice president of sales in the United States, Mamadou Diallo, confirmed this Thursday by giving an update on the manufacturer’s results for 2023 and new services coming in 2024.

The car will be called ADX and the launch is expected later this year. Acura is talking about an entry-level product alongside the sedan Integra. To give you an idea, the latter retails from $41,560, all costs included.

This is good news for those who prefer SUVs, because the RDX is no longer the affordable model it once was. Its price has risen significantly in the last two years and now stands at $56,840, no less.

Under the hood, we can find a 1.5-liter turbo four-cylinder engine. In the Integra, it produces 200 horsepower and 192 lb-ft of torque. Will there be a more powerful version of the S Type? It does. Integra offers onebut still not RDX, surprisingly.

What else to watch at Acura?

Speaking of the RDX, Acura mentions that it will soon receive an aesthetic and performance upgrade, possibly for the 2025 model year, the company is not providing further details. Note that the current generation is starting to age, having started in 2019 and receiving an update in 2022.

His elder brother, MDX, will be eligible for exterior touches and new technologies such as an infotainment system with integrated Google, a Bang and Olufsen sound system and more driving aids. To our delight, the touchpad on the console will be removed in favor of a new touchscreen. Thus, navigation will be easier for users and the console will save space at the same time.

Finally, remember that the new electric cross ZDXcousin of Honda Prelude and developed in partnership with General Motors, will go on sale this spring with a base price of more than $80,000. Its distance is estimated to be around 500 km.
