Why the Lotus Exige is not selfish

Anyone who has ever had the pleasure of driving a first-generation Lotus Exige can call it extreme crazy driving experience. But did you know that Lotus wanted to make the Exige more aggressive? The manufacturer himself ultimately decided not to do so. Sjoerd van Bilsen explains how this works in this episode of Sjoerds Weetjes.

The very first generation Exige is now known as Exige S1, but that is not its official name. Because the English manufacturer of light sports cars until recently released two more generations after the first version, the model shown here is popularly called Exige S1. It appeared at the beginning of this century, but the foundations were already laid at the end of the last century. Lotus needed a new model for the car show and so the idea of the Exige was born.
