Surprise: Evan Ferry is no longer with Triumph / US Supercross Lites East

New British Supercross Triumph and injured American Evan Ferry have now ended their partnership in the US Supercross Lites series, and no replacement has been hired at this time.

The new motocross and supercross team from cult British company Triumph is currently having a rough time in the US. It became official on Saturday that Triumph and Evan Ferry have separated. The 19-year-old from Florida suffered the injury in practice after the East Coast’s season opener in Detroit and has not played since.

Evan is the son of former American factory rider Tim Ferry, who was under contract with Kawasaki, among others. The press release says: “Evan came to Victory as part of an international motocross project. It was a historic step for Victory in a new segment, which included the development of the new TF 250-X. Although the team made every effort to support Evan fully and adjusting the plans of his first year and the offer to focus on the motocross season, Evan has decided to leave the team.

At the beginning of Detroit, after falling during the run of the repechage, Ferry confidently moved to the final, where he was again involved in the turmoil. While Feri came to a tragic end, his teammate Jalek Swoll has already made some important points. The youngster is currently 9th in the East Coast Championship behind Max Anstie and Seth Hammaker and has already reached 72 points.

Victory has spared no expense or effort to enter motocross worldwide and has recruited ambassadors and test riders such as Ricky Carmichael and Jeff Stanton in the United States. In Europe, former MXGP star Clement Desalle, among others, is doing development work for the MX2 team with Mikkel Haarup and Camden McLellan.
