The luxury sibling of the VW Golf gets refreshed. Audi is not only modifying the design and equipment of the A3, but also adding another model to the range.

Audi A3 is being modified. In the next few weeks, the luxury sibling of the VW Golf will go on sale with a revised design and expanded features, the automaker announced. After the five-door Sportback and sedan, there is also the Allstreet as a further model variant. This looks almost like an SUV with big wheels, less ground clearance and rustic protective strips on the side.

Prices start at 35,650 euros for the Sportback, the sedan costs 800 euros more, and Audi charges an extra 1,800 euros for the Allstreet.

These are visual and technical updates

For the rest of the model cycle, the A3 can be recognized from the outside by a different front apron and, above all, by a new daytime running light, which can now be programmed individually by the driver.

Inside there are new materials and trims as well as updated infotainment and access to a new app store. In addition, some features from the infotainment and comfort areas can be stored in so-called Demand Functions even after the car is purchased, according to the manufacturer.

Nothing changes under the hood for the base models. Sales start with a 110 kW/150 hp petrol engine with a displacement of 1.5 liters and a 2.0 liter diesel engine. More combustion engines are expected to come later and a plug-in hybrid will be available by the end of the year.

At the same time, the S3 sports model is also launched with a price starting from 55,600 euros It has increased in performance during the facelift: its 2.0 liter petrol engine now produces 245 kW / 333 hp and has 430 Nm. However, the top speed remains up to 250 km/h based on the RS3, which is still being modified.
