A revolution in Dodge: and it is one of those that will raise debates and discussions. The Charger, one of the main stars and icons of the stripes, a symbol of the power and sound of the American V8, becomes electric.
In fact, the launch of the new Dodge Charger Daytona in an electric version marks a real change for the sports car from the American Stellantis brand, even if the design recalls the iconic lines of its famous ancestors, combining square and curved elements. The front and rear end pay homage to the Charger of the 70s. The sloping roofline and wide wheel arches, however, come close to the look of the modern Challenger. With an overall length of 5.25 meters, a height of 1.5 meters and a width of 2.03 meters, the Charger Daytona has more impressive dimensions than previous models in the range.

Available in two or four door versions

Available in two- and four-door versions, the Charger Daytona makes good use of interior space, offering a 644-litre boot that becomes 1,059 liters with the rear seats folded and a 42-litre front compartment for storing small items and charging cables. Inside, the Dodge stands for an advanced technology package, with a 16-inch instrument panel for the ScatPack version and a 112.3-inch central display. From the steering wheel it is possible to select the driving modes Auto, Eco, Sport, Wet / Snow, Track and Drag, as well as PowerShot by adding an additional 41 hp during acceleration. Both Dodges use a 94 kWh battery, with a range of 510 and 418 kilometers respectively. Charging can take up to 11 kW in alternating current and up to 188 kW in direct current, allowing it to charge from 5 to 80% in about 32 minutes.

Also available with the Scat package is a Drift mode with settings that are customized for drift angles. To complete the car’s sporty equipment there are features such as Line Lock, to pre-heat the tires before an acceleration race, and Race Prep which pre-charges the battery before use on the track. Initially, the all-electric Daytona will be offered in R/T and ScatPack variants, both with permanent all-wheel drive.

In the R / T version, two electric motors, one mounted on the front axle and the other on the rear, provide a total of 503 hp of maximum power and 508 Nm of torque.

Production will begin this summer for the 2-door

Burning performance: acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.7 seconds and a top speed of 220 km / h. In the most powerful version, the ScatPack, however, the horsepower increases to 680 hp and 850 Nm of torque, accelerating from 0 to 100 kmh in 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 216 kmh. Production of the two-door Charger Daytona will begin in mid-2024, while the four-door version will have to wait until early 2025.
