World Long Track Championships: Dates and participants set / Long Track GP

In addition to the permanent wild cards for the long track GP, the world motorcycle association FIM announced the dates of the 2025 World Cup events. The calendar is shorter compared to this year.

The long track of the GP 2025 consists of only four races and is therefore on a downward course again after the high level of time with the last six events in 2022. While Mühldorf is hosting the first World Cup match instead of the challenge taking place in Morizes, Scheeßel, Marmande and Roden will remain on the calendar as hosts of the World Cup event.

In Vechta, instead of the Grand Prix, the final of the Long Course of Nations and the U23 World Championship will take place. Notably missing from the 2025 calendar is the Herxheim motorsport association, which has hosted the start of the world championship for the past two years and always draws crowds to the dirt track in the Waldstadion on Father’s Day. The people of the Palatinate have decided on an open race on May 29.

For the World Cup dates, the permanent cards for the 2025 World Cup were also announced. As expected, Germany came up empty-handed when it came to the award, as five drivers, Martin Smolinski, Lukas Fienhage, Erik Riss, Daniel Spiller and Stephan Katt, have already qualified through the sport. French Mathias Trésarrieu, Dutch Mika Meijer and Finnish Tero Aarnio will participate.
