Podcast: Toyota 4Runner finally arrives, bad karma for Fisker and Acura ZDX shows its prices.

During the news section of the very last announcement of Car guide at QUB Télé, our hosts Antoine Joubert, Hugues Gonnot and Louis-Philippe Dube discuss the long-awaited arrival of the new Toyota 4Runner. It obviously borrows a lot of technical features from the Tacoma pickup truck, but it also hides some of its own. Our hosts look back at the reveal and preview the new utility vehicle.

Still in the news, our hosts provide an overview of small manufacturer Fisker’s setbacks, including the Ocean utility vehicle that already seems to have its share of problems. Antoine, Hugues and Louis-Philippe emphasize in particular that Bahari brings a lot of new technology to the table, but that its production-related limitations could end its manufacturer.

We finally know Canadian prices for the Acura ZDX utility vehicle. Mounted on the Ultium platform borrowed from General Motors, the ZDX displays a very high price tag. The Blazer EV experienced several technical problems during its launch. We will have to hope that these problems will not be carried over to the ZDX which shares the same platform.

Finally, the three of us look at Subaru’s success in Canada and Quebec in the manufacturers’ balance sheet segment. The Japanese brand saw its sales increase by nearly 25% in the country in 2023 compared to the previous year.
