Yesterday our original Autoblog did an article whose star is exclusive Mercedes E55 AMG. It is distinguished not only by the fact that the car unit is “toned”, but most of all by the location of this feature. It was placed in the trunk, which at first glance seems crazy.
However, it is not so. Contrary to appearances, the location of the turbocharger does not play such a big role. What’s more – here an imaginary power increase was achieved, while maintaining a perfect response to pressing the right pedal.
At this point, let me quote from editor Adamczuk’s text:

Well, no, this car has no “lag” – all thanks to the well-thought-out design of the entire charging system.
The car from the ad is familiar to me, because this project was created by Steve Neophytou, also known under the pseudonyms “Stavros” and “Stav-Tech”. By the way, at this point I recommend his site in Facebook, Instagram and a YouTube channel.
Many interesting projects have come out of his hands, and the skills he shares in his films are high.
It is no different in the case of this car. Well, the project started around 2010, when Compressor Racing offered Stavros to build a supercharged Mercedes E55 for little money. The budget was only £3,500, which is not very high.
Stavros was given complete freedom in the construction of the car. That’s when the idea arose to finish the story about the relationship between gas lag and the distance between the turbocharger and the engine.

Of course, this is not something very easy, but having the right skills, you can do it without much trouble. What’s more – thanks to a few clever adjustments, the gas response is almost instantaneous. For Stavros, it was important to retain the character of the M113’s classic V8 engine.

Full boost is available here from 3500 rpm, and in addition moving the turbocharger away from the engine allows the temperature of this element to be kept low.

Turbocharger Holset HX55 it has the capacity to reach 1,200 horsepower. The power of Mercedes for sale is not given, but according to Stavros, reaching 1,000 horsepower is not a challenge here.
By the way, I am impressed by the fact that the car has survived for so many years, even despite the most extensive treatment. As you can see, this solution is not only effective, but also very durable.
