Tesla yoke steering has no special technology underneath. The American EV brand has just replaced the standard steering wheel with a flat version. While this works well on the highway, it can cause irritation when turning quickly in the city.

But when will a competitor to Tesla’s yoke enter the market? Although the Lexus RX can already be ordered, you still can’t add a flat steering wheel to the options list.

When you can expect a Lexus steering wheel

Lexus previously informed Autovisie that the joystick could be ordered for the model in 2025.

After the first journalists took the wheel, a lot of work was done on the concept. For example, the steering wheel can now turn 200 degrees in any direction instead of 150 degrees, the brand told Car and Common Sense Driver.
