19,000 professional operator entries

In LAMIERA 2023, the entries of registered professional riders were around 19,000.

The results obtained by the participants are positive 22nd edition of LAMIERAinternational event dedicated to technology of cutting, forming and working of sheet metal, pipes and profileswhich took place Wednesday 10 to Saturday May 13, in fieramilano Rho.

The only selection of exhibitions in Italy dedicated exclusively to the sector, for many years LAMIERA has been one of the most important exhibitions in the international panorama of sector events, also thanks to the move from Bologna to Milan which took place in 2017. The protagonists of the exhibition, which took a total area of ​​40,000 m²there were about 400 companies, 27% foreign, representing 22 countries.

Promoted by UCIMU Production Systemsassociation of Italian manufacturers of machine tools, robots and automation, e organized by CEUThe UCIMU Exhibition Centre, LAMIERA has returned, uniquely, one year after the previous edition which was postponed for 12 months due to a health emergency.

Positive results

Barbara Colombo, president of UCIMU-Sistemi per Producingcommented as follows: “We are very satisfied with the results obtained because the event, which took place only 12 months after the previous one, not only confirmed the results of the last edition but, in other indicators, did better.“.

Alfredo Mariotti, director of UCIMU added: “The technology that characterizes this sector has an innovation cycle every two years, which is why LAMIERA, like all other international exhibitions dedicated to this sector, must take place every two years. The fact that companies have confirmed their participation in this edition, unusual because of its timing, however shows the value of this event, which has been able to grow from edition to edition and which can rely on the attractive, Italian market. : the second most important in the world, on par with the United States, and the first in Europe“.

Several numbers

Exhibitors were 15% more than in the 2022 edition, while the entries of professional operators registered in the 4 days of the exhibition were. approximately 19,000. In the total calculation must be added more than 4,000 operators from Made in Steel who have expressed interest in visiting LAMIERA as well. The contract signed with Made in Steel (held at the same time in nearby pavilions) and which provided free passage from one event to another therefore produced very interesting results.

Compared to total visitors 7.5% were of foreign origin who represents 67 nations.

The next edition of LAMIERA is scheduled from 7 to 10 May 2025.
