Accident between Opel and Hyundai

Spremberg – Tuesday evening there was a serious accident on Federal Highway 97. Between the intersection of Black Pump and Spremberg there was one An accident several people were injured.

According to TAG24 news, the fire department, police and emergency services were notified around 10 pm.

When they arrived at the scene of the accident, the emergency services found that the Opel and Hyundai had collided head-on. Four people were injured, some seriously.

Two of the injured are said to have been taken by rescue helicopter to the Carl Thiem Clinic in Cottbus, two others to hospitals in Berlin and Hoyerswerda.

The fire brigade secured the accident site, assisted the rescue service and took care of the collection of the leaked operating equipment.

The federal highway had to be completely closed for several hours during the rescue and emergency measures.

The operation continued until midnight. The police have started investigating the accident.
