By offering a choice of powertrain technologies and thanks to our high level of flexibility, the BMW Group is well positioned to meet changing customer needs. This strategy seems to be particularly effective in a strong market environment.

In the first quarter of 2024, the German Group produced a total of 82,700 fully electric BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce vehicles. for customers all over the world, same as one 27.9% growth compared to last year. Overall, the company delivered 594,671 vehicles to customers in the first quarter of this year (+1.1%). In particular, it recorded strong growth in Europe in the first three months. With 227,784 BMW and MINI vehicles delivered to customers, the BMW Group reported an increase of 5.5 percent compared to the same period in 2023.

The German company expects a slight increase in shipments in 2024. Fully electric cars and models from the upper premium segment will be more responsible for the growth in 2024.

Going into more detail, in the period January-March 2024 BMW brand it sold 531,039 units worldwide, an increase of 2.5%, compared to the same period last year. In particular, sales of electric models have increased significantly. In the quarter, they were 78,691 BEVs delivered to customers worldwide, an increase of 40.6% compared to the previous year. Among the brand’s fully electric vehicles, the BMW i4, BMW iX3, BMW iX1, BMW iX and BMW i7 were in high demand.

BMW M has again increased its sales from the highest level recorded in the first quarter of last year. With a total of 48,110 vehicles sold, there was an increase of 3.6 percent compared to the same period last year.

The UK, Spain, Portugal, China, South Africa, South Korea and South America are among the countries that have seen sales growth.
