BMW joins Rimac, but not for six-…

Don’t be confused: Bugatti Rimaca Croatian company that emerged from a strategic plan by Porsche in hypercars produces under both names, it is not involved here. Although there is a connection: Rimac Technology is one subsidiary company from Bugatti Rimac and features the development of new technology. It has already attracted many brands: Porsche, Ferrari, Hyundai, Mercedes, Renault, Pininfarina and AMG. Great success.

Rimac Technology now has one long-term cooperation closed with BMW. The goal is that both companies creative solutions develop to electric cars. BMW will use the innovations resulting from this partnership in the recently launched model A new classexamples. The first model, an SUV, is planned for 2025. BMW will therefore not offer a four- or six-cylinder engine – Rimac is not worried about that. The company develops battery technology, electric axles, vehicle infrastructure, infotainment systems, driving assistants and torque vectoring systems.

What purpose?

What does BMW gain from this partnership? After all, the manufacturer from Munich already has a lot of experience with electric cars, from the i3 to the i4, i5 and the latest iX3. But do not forget that development of electric vehicles it is very expensive and requires a lot of resources.
