Hyundai owners in Houston receive free anti-theft upgrades at Greenspoint Mall

Hyundai customers lined up early outside the Greenspoint Mall on Saturday to get their free anti-theft update for their cars. Over the past two years, car thefts, involving Hyundai vehicles, have been on the rise.

Owners of 2010-2021 Hyundai vehicles can receive a free anti-theft update this weekend at Greenspoint Mall, located at 12300 North Freeway. The event will be held on Saturday from 8 am to 6 pm, and on Sunday from 8 am to 2 pm, no appointment necessary.

“I came out here because I want to reduce the risk of theft of my car, especially these nuisance thefts, which are all for fun. They don’t take cars, they strip them and sell them, and no, they throw them away for parts. They are really driving around and, then their trash,” he says Derrill Holly, who took advantage of the event.

The upgrade process only takes 20 minutes. To the people standing by, they say it was time well spent.

“I’m glad I and I came out with a software update for that,” says Holly.
