A series of upgrades for the 2025 Genesis GV70 | Car news

• The 2025 Genesis GV70, a revised version of the Korean brand’s small SUV, was presented at the Beijing Auto Show.

The undoubted star of the Genesis range is the GV70 SUV. Since its arrival in the market, it has established itself and built a solid reputation. And the last is not overrated; This SUV is a very solid proposition.

And it will be improved in 2025, at least if we rely on what was presented on the Chinese side at the Beijing Auto Show.

The version presented first goes on sale in South Korea next month, but its arrival in North America shouldn’t take long. We expect that the announced changes will apply to our 2025 designs. This will be confirmed.

Many details about the changes are not hidden at the moment, but several improvements have been confirmed, both externally and internally.

Genesis GV70 2025 – what’s new?

On the outside, we’ll be treated to a new grille, new headlight units, as well as a revised front bumper and skid plate. At the back, we moved the indicators down, in the upper part of the shield, under the lights.

The Sport model offers a new front fascia with larger air intakes, a new rear diffuser and unique 21-inch wheels with a black metallic finish.

Inside, the changes are more visible. Previously we had a driver information screen, but integrated into a more traditional space, which could accommodate a dial. A second screen, for the multimedia system, was sitting on the dashboard, above the center console. This technique has been removed so that we now have a single 27-inch screen that brings everything together.

Honestly, at first glance, it’s not very good, but it’s still a matter of taste.

Changes in ambient lighting and the presence of new controls for climate settings are also worth noting.

Currently, no changes have been announced regarding the power plants. This is quite normal, because we are not talking about the new generation here, but the mid-term touches. The GV70 is offered here with a 2.5-liter turbo 4-cylinder and a 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6, units that produce 300 and 375 horsepower, respectively, along with 311 and 391 lb-ft of torque.

This is of course without forgetting the electrical difference of the model.

Genesis also introduced an improved version of the electric version of the G80 sedan, with the G80 Magma, this name should now be associated with high performance in Genesis.
