We are still waiting for the Polish price list of the 3rd generation Dacia Duster – it was supposed to be published the day before yesterday, but it is still not available. We can, however, check how much this very emotional car is valued in Switzerland – in a very demanding market.

“More Duster”: The new Duster continues the history of a model that has become a mark on the market and a true icon of the Dacia brand. The new generation of Duster emphasizes the core values of all models: “power and exterior”, “essential but cool” and “eco-smart”. Duster, which appeared in the market in 2010 and received its second generation in 2017, has so far sold more than 2.4 million units in almost 60 countries.

The third generation Dacia Duster is available in Switzerland for a price from 24,290 francs. At today’s average CHF exchange rate, this equates to PLN 108,885. The new model can be ordered from March, and will be available for testing in Swiss showrooms from June 2024.

Dacia lives up to its promise of “affordable mobility” and, in line with the brand’s ethos, the new Duster combines an attractive price with a more spacious interior and many new, innovative features. Dacia Duster’s value for money continues to make it a unique offering in its class.

Equipment standards

The new generation Duster is offered in Switzerland with two different options, at the same price. Featuring a unique design with bronze accents, the Duster Extreme is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts looking for a tough and practical vehicle (microcloud switchable upholstery, custom roof racks, and more). The Duster Safari is aimed at customers who prefer an elegant, subtle design along with comfort and technology (automatic parking brake, Media Nav Live, etc.).

Engine and gear

The new generation of Dacia Duster, technically based on the new CMF-B platform, introduces the TCE 130 gasoline engine, which is the first stage of electricity and a 48-volt smooth hybrid drive with a six-speed manual box. Offered in 4×2 and 4×4 versions, this engine combines a new generation 1.2 l 3-cylinder petrol engine with a 48 V hybrid TCe 130 hybrid system reducing average fuel consumption and CO2 by about 10% compared to a fairly efficient internal combustion engine.

The Hybrid 140 engine, which Dacia also introduced in the Jogger in early 2023, is now also used in the new generation Duster. The multi-mode automatic transmission improves driving comfort and, together with the energy management system and the 1.2 kWh battery, also increases the car’s performance and fuel economy. The new Duster Hybrid 140 can operate in electric driving mode for 80% of the time in city driving, thanks to which it manages to reduce fuel consumption in urban traffic by up to 40% (compared to the same combustion engine, without changing the behavior of driving).

Dacia Duster enjoys excellent reputation as an all-wheel drive vehicle and embodies the word “power and exterior” like no other model in its class. Therefore, Duster has been renewed in the third generation of the model in the 4 × 4 variant, which, among other things, has a modified front structure to obtain a greater angle of approach, a different rear axle and increased ground clearance to 217 millimeters ., which is the best value in this competitive segment. In the new generation of models, the off-road capabilities of the 4 × 4 version have increased even more, because the new Duster TCE 130 4 × 4 has a new system. Land Control providing five driving modes.

The new Duster wouldn’t be a Duster if it wasn’t very durable: it’s the first production model to use the newly developed Starkle® material. Contains 20% recycled polypropylene. Side protection panels, wheel arch covers and side “snorkels” are made of new, colorless material. In addition, the front and back protection plastic is colored. Avoiding painting protects the environment and benefits customers: despite scratches and scuffs, the original color is preserved.
