Mercedes will be offering revised electric car models from April 25 to counter low sales, reports “Handelsblatt”.

The EQS and EQE sedans and SUVs will have larger batteries with similar base prices. There would also be better seats, a new radiator design and, if desired, a standing star on the hood.

In the first quarter of 2024, electric vehicle shipments decreased by nine percent.

Mercedes will be offering revised electric car models from April 25 to counter low sales, it reports “Handelsblatt“. In the first quarter of 2024, the delivery of electric vehicles decreased by nine percent last year, at least 170,000 new electric vehicles were sold than planned.

EQS and EQE sedans and SUVs will receive larger batteries and similar base prices, which will enable more trips by more than eleven percent. There would also be better seats, a chrome-plated radiator cowl and, if desired, a standing star on the hood.

The Swabians would expect annual sales of up to 50,000 units for the EQS delivered in 2021. Mercedes can’t even manage half of that. The main reason is that the brand was left behind in the Chinese electric car market.
