Genesis Motor America (GMA) has recently announced a broadened scope of sales for its all-electric vehicles, with the expansion of their Electric Vehicle (EV) lineup to 15 states. The company stated that the expansion, which commenced in late April, allows for the sale of their EVs to customers in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Texas, Virginia, and Washington.
GMA, the luxury arm of Hyundai Motor Group, has long sought to make its mark in the burgeoning EV market. The company has been hard at work developing a comprehensive suite of all-electric vehicles, including the G80 and GV80 luxury SUV models, as well as the G70 luxury sedan.
The company’s EV expansion is a major move for GMA, as it seeks to increase its sales across the United States. GMA’s Chief Operating Officer, Erwin Raphael, stated that the company’s goal is to become a significant player in the EV market. “This expansion allows us to offer our luxury EVs to customers across the country,” he said. “We are confident that our vehicles will provide an exceptional driving experience and will help to drive consumer adoption of EVs.”
The GMA lineup of EVs is powered by the company’s proprietary Ultra High Voltage (UHV) battery system, which is capable of delivering up to 300 miles of range on a single charge. The vehicles also feature a range of advanced safety features, including automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, and blind spot detection.
The company hopes that the expansion of its EV sales will help to further drive consumer demand for electric vehicles. “We believe this move will be a catalyst for more consumers to make the switch to electric vehicles,” said Raphael. “We are committed to providing our customers with the best driving experience possible, and our new lineup of EVs will do just that.”
